Hi! I’m Maya
Hello! My name is Maya Pierce and I am an actor and singer based in New York City.
After graduating from Northwestern University with a Theatre major and Computer Science minor, I spent two years living and working in Chicago and around the midwest. In my time there I was lucky enough to work with Metropolis PAC, Red Theatre, Exit Left Theatre, Dunes Summer Theatre, and study in the Protege Program at Shattered Globe Theatre. In addition, I worked on several projects for the Musical Theatre Writing Masters program at NYU Tisch. In March of 2023 I made my international debut as a Lead Vocalist with AIDA Cruises. Since then, I have moved back to New York City and participated in workshops, cabarets, and made my off-broadway debut!
My love of theatre comes from a love of people, and a fascination with why we do what we do. I am thrilled that you have taken a few minutes out of your day to look at my website, whoever you are please contact me! I would love to talk to you.
What’s New With Me?
I made my Off Broadway Debut in June of 2025! After participating in a workshop at the Peabody School of Music in Baltimore in January, I was thrilled to join the off-broadway cast of Wesley, a new musical, in the role of Jane. Directed by Mary Duncan, and written by Scott Steidl and Mark Hantoot performed a 6-week run at The Theater Center. wesleymusical.com.
I finished two contacts with AIDA Cruises, which took me through fall of 2024. It is a dream come true to perform on the open ocean and travel all over the world. We formed perform 7 shows in repertoire incorporating many styles: classic rock, musical theatre, disco, 80s pop, ABBA, Queen, 80s and more!
Scenes from “Hummingbird”, a short film directed by Joseph Coleman and starring Oscar-nominated actress Janet McTeer and myself, are now available on my Media page!
The film has been accepted into the Los Angeles Short Awards, the Prague International Indie Film Festival, and the Independent Short Award. Out of 5,500 films submitted to the Independent Short Awards, there are 70 nominations and Hummingbird received three!
